As part of the Cultural Olympiad in Wales join us for our second Carnifal
Cambria- a carnival with a difference that includes a circus show and
travels on a special carnival train.
11am Meet in costume at Barmouth Harbour for a Journey back into Victorian Britain
11.50am Train to Harlech (Free to everyone in carnival costume)
12.30pm Arrive in Harlech Castle (entrance free to carnivalists) – please bring picnic
in a hamper to share with your fellow travellers. (If pouring with rain we will
continue the Carnival celebrations at Theatr Harlech)
2.00pm The Greatest Show on Earth
4.20pm Train from Harlech to Barmouth AM DDIM/FREE

Have a Blast ! Wildlife & Art Festival

Saturday 24th July and Sunday 25th July 2010

1pm to 6pm each day

Free Event.

A disused gunpowder factory will explode into life this month with a
free weekend extravaganza of art, performance, wildlife and fun
activities. The old Cooke’s Explosives site, Gwaith Powdwr,
will be transformed into an open-air gallery as artists
create work using the great outdoors as their canvas.
Over 20 contemporary artists have been invited to
create work that reflects the history of the
site and the wildlife that’s taken it over.

Dyffryn and Talybont Funday

Coed y Bachau Fields, Dyffryn Ardudwy, LL44 2EP

Over 16’s £3 each, under 16’s and OAPs free

Held on the last Sunday in July every year at Coed y Bachau Fields,
Dyffryn Ardudwy, just off the A496 coast road. Keep an eye
open for the signs!! Country music, Fairground rides,
quad bikes, pram race, charity stalls, carboot sale,
refreshments, bar and full itinerary of events.
Visits from Coastguard and Fire service planned.
Come and join in the fun.
Parking space for over 200 cars.

Hillside garden blending natural wildlife areas with garden plants, shrubs,
vegetables and fruit. Small lake with 20 species of waterfowl with
ducklings in spring and summer. Fish pond, waterfalls, woodland,
rockeries, lawns, borders, snowdrops, daffodils, heathers,
bluebells, ferns, camellias, azaleas, rhododendrons,
wild flowers, views of Tremadog Bay and the
Lleyn Peninsula. Good paths and seating.

Guided Walk

Free Event

Join the Gwaith Powdwr reserve warden, North Wales Wildlife Trust’s
Rhydian Morris, on a walk around the fabulous reserve. You’ll
see the remnants of the old explosives factory and the
wildlife that has now taken over. Discover habitats
including woodland, scrub, heathland, bare rock
and open water and supports a wide range of
species including Nightjar, Barn Owl
and Pied flycatcher.

Ardudwy Youth Theatre
Since forming in 1999 they have given many performances 
in the community and also raised money for charity.

Meeting each Saturday morning, Juniors from 9.30 to 11.00 and
Seniors from 10.30 to 12.00. This a bi-lingual fun group committed to
encouraging participation in the Theatre and Drama whilst building
confidence and skills. The older group also learn about the technical
side of putting on a performance.

Ardudwy Community Theatre
A community group started 30 years ago and still going strong. Meeting
every Monday at 7pm in the Scout Hut for script reading, rehearsals
 and tea and biscuits. Many of our past performances have been well
 received within the community and we have been invited to other
 Theatres to perform.
