Harlech Art World
Or maybe the World Art of Harlech
Harlech may not immediately spring to mind as being a hub to the Art World but every other year Harlech hosts a very important event - a Biennale. Often an event like this would be associated with a large International City; such as Venice perhaps.
Some notable artists have paid visits to the town. Joseph Mallord William Turner painted and sketched several works of the Castle and also the Mill at Ynys.
John Sell Cotman was another visitor with a painting of the Castle based on a sketch he did in 1800.
